Stage 8: Challenge 1-4

Challenge 1: Input from Phone Sensors, all that needs to be known to figure out if it's Halloween or not would be the date and possibly location. The app will output a notification that it's Halloween and possibly a picture image once the app is open.

Challenge 2: Input from Phone Sensors: To determine whether someone is at school or not, the microphone would need to pick up a lot of noise, the phone to be moving quickly or still for continuous periods of time, and a camera test should show all black since the phone would be in the user's bag. The app will output to mute the phone.

Challenge 3: User Input: To find out what to wear in the morning the app needs to know what it's options of clothing are. The planned activities for the day also help determine whether the user is going on a field trip, where they would wear something more casual, versus having dinner with grandparents where they might need to wear something nicer.

Challenge 4: User Input: To figure out what movie the user would enjoy the most, the app will need to know more about the user's personality and other shows/movies they have enjoyed so it can match a movie to their liking's. Also their grade level can help narrow down the options canceling out kids movies and more adult movies they aren't old enough to watch.

Stage 2


1. A feature that should be added to the list would be 

   -Make it Clear: The point/purpose of the website should be easy to understand based on the homepage. It doesn't need to spell i tout but it should be easily inferred.

2. What common elements do you notice across all the websites?
   -Across all the websites a common element was Design is Paramount, Consistency is Key and Colors are Crucial. All the websites have a tile and a meet the author/owner behind all of them. All of the websites were also trying to showcase everything, whether it was their book, their service, their talents, or their recipes and daily life.

Student Blogs



Becca's blog featured a 3-D printer, but the printer she found was much more complex and could do many more things than the average 3-D printer. It was created by Bonsai Lab , who also partnered with THK, Minebea, and Mitsuboshi Belt. 
Ashley's blog featured another 3-D printer, but it focused more on the items the printer was able to create rather than the printer itself. 3-D printed vehicles printed by Divergent took the spot. They're light weight, fully function able cars and motorcycles, printed out of aluminum nodes combines with printed carbon fire. These vehicles are also much better for the environment since they produce much less waste to create. 
Alex's blog featured Kuri, a kid friendly robot made by Mayfield Robotics. It can light up to show different facial expressions which includes blinking and squinting as well as recognize different family members. If connected to a device, Kuri can do many more actions as well as play music.
Katelyn's blog also featured Kuri, a home improvement robot. Instead of entertaing children, this robot can preform household chores such as cleaning and can also take pictures. 
Olivia's blog hasn't posted anything that I can view yet.

My favorite had to be Ashley's 3-D printed cars. It was so cool to see how they can make strong, longer lasting, better for the environment motorcycles  with just a 3-D printed. One of them can go as fast as 0-60mph in just a few seconds which is completely insane.
